  • SFT Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager

for our client, a major public health organization in Quebec, as part of the evolution and sustainability of its Project and Portfolio Management Information System (SIGPP), built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations.

You will act as the responsible party for the integrated project management in collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and governance bodies. Your mission: ensure the planning, coordination, execution, and control of the work required to deliver system enhancements, as well as coordinate deployments across facilities and different directions of the organization.

Your Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop and maintain the project plan: scope, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and milestones
  • Plan and coordinate functional enhancements and provincial SIGPP deployments
  • Define implementation strategies and deployment plans
  • Ensure coordination of work between business, technology teams, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with the methodological framework, governance processes, and organizational standards

Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure the mobilization and alignment of individuals involved in the project
  • Facilitate workshops, follow-up meetings, tactical committees, and governance committees
  • Act as the central coordination point between user sectors, DBPTI, VPTI, and external partners
  • Foster stakeholder buy-in to project orientations and deliverables

Risk and Issue Management

  • Identify, analyze, and track project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Escalate quickly issues requiring management or governance decisions
  • Ensure follow-up of corrective and preventive actions

Tracking and Reporting

  • Ensure tracking of work progress and budget consumption
  • Produce dashboards, progress reports, and presentations for governance bodies
  • Measure project performance using management indicators
  • Support decision-making by producing analyses and recommendations

Change Management and Deployment

  • Collaborate on the change management and deployment strategy for new features
  • Coordinate training, communication, and user support activities
  • Ensure preparation of business units and support teams before each production rollout
  • Ensure a smooth transition to operations
  • Support the continuous improvement of project and portfolio governance processes

Expected Deliverables

  • Continuous update of the project plan
  • Detailed planning and master schedule
  • Risk, issue, and decision registry
  • Monthly project status reports
  • Preparation, facilitation, and reporting of various governance committees

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, management, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the information technology field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior project manager in IT, acquired in the last 10 years
  • Experience in at least 3 mandates of 5,000 person-days realized in the last 8 years, in contexts involving multiple administrative units of the same organization or different organizations, in a context comparable to the VPTI
  • Experience in organizational transformation programs or projects
  • Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary and multisectoral teams
  • Experience with Microsoft project management tools (Dynamics 365 Project Operations or equivalent)
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French

Assets

  • Senior level in the execution of strategic mandates within an organization of the magnitude of Santé Québec
  • Experience in Agile project management (Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban, DAD, or SAFe) or hybrid Agile + Waterfall approaches
  • Knowledge of the healthcare domain
  • Certifications: PMP, CAPM, Prince2, PMI-ACP, SAFe, CSPO, PSPO, Agile, Scrum
  • Prosci certification (change management) — additional asset
  • Desired Profile

Mobilizing leadership and autonomy in complex, multidisciplinary, and evolving environments. Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Comfortable working with stakeholders of varying hierarchical levels and supporting decision-making at the highest levels.

Conditions

  • 12-month contract (August 24, 2026 to August 24, 2027)
  • 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Hybrid mode: 1 day on-site, 4 days remote work
  • Offices in Montreal or Quebec — presence required at the beginning and end of the mandate for equipment handover
  • Occasional travel without additional expenses
