The projects are carried out in collaboration with companies and aim to move from prototype to industrialization. The interventions target strategic sectors such as aerospace, defense, manufacturing and life sciences in order to accelerate productivity and strengthen competitiveness in Canada.
Under the responsibility of the infrastructure director, with the existing team, you will be in charge of completing the projects by planning, coordinating and controlling the activities of the stakeholders. You will identify the risks, manage the impacts and ensure their compliance with deadlines, budgets and quality standards (according to the codes and standards). As a resource person, you will ensure the liaison between the expert teams and the customer projects. The projects range from small interventions to larger undertakings.
You will actively participate in the proper functioning of the management activities by performing various administrative tasks. You will notably ensure the preparation, creation, updating and follow-up of various documents necessary for the planning, coordination and control of the activities. This includes compiling technical reports, maintaining dashboards, standards and associated coordination for various mandates, projects or interventions. You will work with the maintenance team and with research and development teams.
Main Functions Description
- Coordinate the execution of projects (contracts, control costs, directives, schedules) and plan the resources necessary for them, respecting the various organizational constraints (quality requirements) and SST standards;
- Conduct surveys and research necessary at all stages of a project, estimate the budget necessary for its realization (order of magnitude) and measure the impacts on the organization's activities;
- Participate in the preparation of tender documents and selection committees;
- Provide administrative support to various processes;
- Interpret, update and produce plans and estimates relating to existing facilities, then issue recommendations;
- Analyze and process requests from internal clients and tenants;
- Work in collaboration with internal teams (example: maintenance team, communications) and external teams (example: architecture or engineering firm).
- Maintain good relations with internal and external partners, as well as with clients and tenants;
- Detect and analyze problems of layout, restriction and construction, then propose solutions if necessary;
- Follow up on completed projects (documentation, training plan for internal teams) and collaborate on the continuous improvement of policies and procedures in project management;
- Prepare, file and follow up on various documents (forms, receipts, reports, dashboards);
- Work closely with the maintenance team to apply, update and improve the maintenance program (GMAO/Guide-Ti);
- Negotiate and maintain partnerships with suppliers, follow up on warranties;
- Be available if necessary outside working hours (rotating guard approximately every 6 weeks).
Qualifications Required
- DEC in a relevant field (e.g. project management);
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management;
- Proficiency in French, both oral and written;
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD;
Assets
- Knowledge of Guide TI and SharePoint;
- Diploma in project management.
