OBJECTIVE

The Site Manager (career and paving) is responsible for the safety and supervision of the operation, manufacturing, and maintenance teams at their site, as well as their performance and development, as well as the sustainability of available reserves and the optimization and performance of equipment. Additionally, the Site Manager is responsible for the link with the functional teams (Environment, Real Estate, Industrial Performance, Human Resources, and Safety) and operational excellence to achieve the highest performance at the lowest production cost in a unionized environment, as well as maintaining Amrize's reputation as a pillar of the industry and communities where the Company operates.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Health and Safety: Ensure the administration and application of health and safety program policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our employees and the compliance of all site projects.
• Production and Contract Management: Plan and track production, maintenance, storage, and distribution processes to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), while managing local and national contracts.
• Financial Planning: Participate in the development and adherence to the annual budget, perform financial analyses to identify cost reduction opportunities, and establish profitability forecasts.
• Inventory and Logistics Management: Collaborate on monthly inventory reconciliation, adjust inventory levels with the distribution team, and directly or indirectly supervise distribution and scale teams.
• Sustainable Mining: Ensure compliance with the authorization certificate, develop and deploy the multi-year mining plan (from drilling-blasting to production rehabilitation phases) to optimize reserves and limit community impacts.
• Customer Orientation: Coordinate activities with Sales, Distribution, and Quality to maintain optimal inventory, maximize shipment volumes, and reduce truck turnaround time.
• Environmental and Sustainable Development Management: Ensure compliance with Amrize's environmental regulatory and internal standards, including managing snow disposal and receiving/producing recycled products.
• Community Relations: Act as the official site representative to local stakeholders (neighbors, committees, municipal and provincial authorities) and maintain good neighborhood relations.
• Labor Relations (HR): Collaborate closely with the human resources team to effectively manage employee relations and ensure strict adherence to the collective agreement.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicate, improve, and respect health, safety, and environmental policies in all environments and work zones. Promote a safety culture and exhibit these behaviors.

COMPETENCE PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or equivalent.
• At least seven (7) years of relevant experience (experience in the aggregates or construction sector is an asset, but not mandatory).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, situation analysis, and decision-making skills.
• Strong personnel management skills and proven ability to build trust both internally and externally.
• Meticulousness, process orientation, and proven track record in talent development (supervisors, etc.).
• Team spirit and positive attitude.
• Understanding of general accounting methods and proficiency in various computer applications (assets).
• Knowledge of the aggregates industry (asset).
• Excellent time management, autonomy, and versatility in dealing with a wide range of activities.
• Bilingualism, French and English, both written and oral. English proficiency is required as the job holder must regularly communicate with clients, suppliers of goods and/or services, or support staff outside Quebec.

Additional Requirements

• Selected candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and the appropriate use of Amrize-approved personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, respirators. Employees who must wear respirators must be shaved where the respirator seal meets the face to successfully pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
