Under the supervision of the communications coordinator, the successful candidate will play an advisory role in the various communication and digital marketing needs of the Wendat Nation Council (CNW) and is invited to propose innovative solutions. To this end, they will collaborate with the various sectors to identify and define the issues inherent in the files and projects, then propose, develop and implement communication plans and strategies to carry out these projects. Depending on the proposed communication strategies, they will be called upon to write several documents (website and newsletter texts, social media posts, etc.) in addition to collaborating with their team on the creation of content and the production of visuals and digital tools. They will be asked to develop strategic marketing plans with the team. They will act as the manager of the CNW's social media. Finally, they will cooperate and participate in the planning, organization and coordination of special events, as needed, and ensure their visibility.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, public communications, or public relations, or any other combination of education and experience deemed relevant; 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position, including 2 years in public relations;

Experience in SEO or SEM writing;

  • Excellent writing skills and excellent mastery of spoken and written French;
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
  • Proficiency in the Office suite;
  • Functional knowledge of WordPress and MailChimp (an asset);

Knowledge of Wendat culture (an asset).
