Chemical Process Operator Assistant

Reporting to the Production Department Manager, the Operator Assistant is responsible for:

• Filtering products into storage tanks
• Loading finished product into tanker trucks/trains
• Receiving raw materials (truck/train)
• Filling various containers
• Preparing samples for the laboratory
• Cleaning the inside of storage tanks and trains as needed
• Performing any other related tasks

Working conditions established by the collective agreement

• 12-hour rotating shift from 7:00
• AM to 7:00
• PM and 7:00

PM to 7:00 AM, day, night, and 1 weekend off every 2 weeks.

• Mostly indoor work.
• Starting salary: $41.96/hour
• Night and weekend premiums
• Eligibility for collective insurance and REER after 100 days worked

Desired profile

• AEC in Chemical Process Operations and Control, DEC in Chemical Process Technology, or any other relevant training combined with 2-3 years of experience
• Ability to use industrial tools and equipment (pumps, scales, etc.)
• Enjoy physical work
• Autonomy, team spirit, and communication skills
• Health and safety at work-oriented
• Good problem-solving skills
