Summary
The Senior HR Advisor acts as a resource person for the management and managers. The person handles complex cases in labor relations, absence management and CNESST files, while ensuring compliance, remuneration, performance and HR indicator tracking. As a Senior HR Advisor, the person will have to: Labor Relations and Manager Support
- Advise the management and managers on the application of policies, labor laws and HR practices;
- Handle disciplinary measures, performance or attendance issues and terminations;
- Manage complaints, conflicts and internal investigations, then recommend fair and consistent solutions;
- Prepare letters, agreements and documents required for sensitive files;
- Support managers in organizational changes, workforce planning and the development of their management practices.
- SST, Absences and CNESST Files
- Coordinate the HR aspect of work injuries, absences, functional limitations and return to work;
- Plan and follow up on temporary assignments in collaboration with managers, payroll, the SST responsible person and medical practitioners;
- Ensure compliance of files, documents and deadlines with the CNESST;
- Collaborate with the APCHQ, our partner in the CNESST retrospective regime, to ensure rigorous management of files and costs;
- Prepare and validate the annual salary declaration to the CNESST in collaboration with the accounting department;
- Analyze indicators related to claims, costs, absence duration, lost days and temporary assignments.
- Compliance, Remuneration and Performance
- Keep HR policies, procedures and practices up to date, and ensure their uniform application;
- Support the salary structure, job classifications, position in scales and salary reviews;
- Coordinate the performance evaluation process and support managers in preparing their meetings;
- Participate in audits and compliance files requiring HR expertise;
- Monitor applicable obligations and recommend required adjustments.
- HR Indicators and Collaboration
- Consolidate and analyze the HR dashboard, including turnover, absenteeism, CNESST files and labor relations;
- Present trends, risks and top recommendations to the management;
- Collaborate closely with the HR Advisor responsible for recruitment, integration and HR programs, and support them in complex files;
- Document and improve HR processes to increase efficiency, compliance and quality of service to managers and employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in a generalist or senior advisory role.
- Solid knowledge of Quebec labor laws, CNESST, SST and absence management.
- Experience in labor relations, disciplinary measures, investigations, remuneration and performance management.
- Experience in a manufacturing, construction or multi-site environment, an asset.
- CRHA or CRIA title, an asset.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, influence capacity and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sensitive files, analyze data and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent spoken and written French; functional English, an asset.
