Under the direct authority of the Operations Director, the incumbent will play an important role within the team in logistics and transport. He/she will also be greatly involved in the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
More specifically, the incumbent will be required to:
- Plan, organize, and manage the distribution and transport of goods locally, nationally, and internationally by various modes of transport;
- Ensure compliance with established safety and prevention standards regarding the packaging of finished products before shipment to customers;
- Monitor the distribution of goods to various delivery points to ensure delivery within the scheduled timeframes;
- Ensure that all documentation is completed and documented in compliance with established and required standards;
- Act as an expert for the marketing department regarding the shipment of demo materials;
- Obtain Canadian export licenses;
- Ensure compliance and archiving of documentation specific to controlled goods for export;
- Ensure compliance with international export standards for controlled goods for export;
- Participate in the development of purchasing policies, quality policies and standards regarding the packaging of finished products, processes, forms, and work instructions, while ensuring their implementation.
We are particularly seeking candidates who demonstrate a passion for working autonomously while being team-oriented at times, an open mind, professionalism, a strong sense of responsibility, organization, resourcefulness, and diligence. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate an innate ability to quickly establish trust with various stakeholders (colleagues, clients, suppliers, distributors, government authorities, etc.).
Required criteria also include:
- A college diploma (DEC) in logistics and transport or international trade;
- A minimum of five (5) years of concrete work experience in a similar position;
- Eligibility to obtain a Canadian government security clearance (Secret level);
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and management software (ERP);
- Knowledge of SAP Business One will be considered an asset;
- Bilingualism - French & English (8/10) – Oral/Written.
