Project Accounting Technician

Job Context

We are looking for a person to replace a team member, ensuring the continuity of activities while bringing their own expertise and ideas.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the financial controller, the project technician supports project managers in the administrative, technical, and financial aspects of projects to ensure their smooth running. As a key link between the management team and accounting, you coordinate billing flows, account statements, and subcontractor compliance to ensure rigorous budget tracking of our real estate projects.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• (40%) Tracking payables situations and approval requests Managing payables; Checking authorized signatures and/or approval requests; Matching invoices before signing and approval;
• (25%) Billing and receivables management Assisting in treasury management; Managing receivables / billing / collection;
• (25%) Supporting Project Managers Close collaboration with Project Managers Following up on operational project requests;
• (10%) Report production Various reports required for analysis; Tasks related to the accounting cycle.

• Desired Profile
• *Education & Experience*
• DEC or AEC in estimation, project management, or accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in construction
• *Technical Skills*
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (we use Acumatica)
• Mastery of MS Office suite software with intermediate Excel expertise
• Excellent understanding of progressive billing mechanisms in construction, payment certificates, and receipt management.
