Your role:

Reporting to the Financial Director, you will act as a strategic and operational partner in supporting the company's financial and accounting management. Your main responsibilities:

Financial and Accounting Management

  • Prepare and produce financial statements and end-of-year and verification files;
  • Ensure compliance of accounting processes with applicable standards and regulations;
  • Monthly analysis of balance sheet items;
  • Produce and analyze relevant management reports;
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial information and adherence to deadlines;
  • Participate in treasury management;
  • Perform accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and end-of-month processes;
  • Contribute to financing file management;
  • Advise the management on the best financial strategies;
  • Collaborate on financial and tax audits.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Act as a resource person for the accounting team;
  • Support the development of skills and team performance;
  • Foster a collaborative and continuous improvement-oriented environment;
  • Participate in the optimization of processes and internal practices.

Billing and Vendor Management

  • Supervise the billing process to ensure quick and efficient deadlines;
  • Ensure that payments to subcontractors and vendors comply with agreements;
  • Validate payment amounts considering special situations;
  • Ensure optimal coordination between accounts payable and receivable;
  • Collaborate on the resolution of disputes, claims, and complex situations.

Other Contributions

  • Participate in special projects and improvement initiatives;
  • Assume any other relevant responsibilities related to the position.
  • The profile we are looking for

Education

  • CPA designation completed or in the process of obtaining it.

Experience

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience;
  • Experience in a multi-company environment (a strong asset);
  • Experience in the construction sector (a strong asset).

Technical Skills

  • Excellent French (English an asset);
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office suite mastery;
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (Maestro, an asset);
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards and tax requirements.
