As a Regional Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating activities and ensuring the smooth delivery of care. Your mobilizing leadership will contribute to decision-making, resource optimization, and service continuity. You will foster interdisciplinary collaboration and ensure a safe user experience.

Main Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Critical Care and Day Surgery Coordinator, you will exercise mobilizing leadership in a context of transformation and continuous improvement, in line with organizational and ministerial guidelines and expected outcomes. You will support managers in a client-centered approach, and your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure a cross-cutting vigilance and monitor the proper functioning of all hospital activities according to priorities, acting as the organization's representative and making necessary administrative decisions for its smooth operation;
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct human resources according to the replacement and backup needs of various units and services, as well as your work shift and the following one, to ensure safe and quality care;
  • Actively participate in bed management and ensure the fluidity of user admissions, discharges, and transfers, both internally and externally, when required;
  • Analyze problematic or emergency situations, determine and implement action plans, and act as a resource person in complex, diverse, and unpredictable situations;
  • Contribute to the development, dissemination, and maintenance of the nursing care philosophy, support clinical staff, participate in evaluations and the identification of training needs, and engage in establishment committees and projects.

Education

  • Hold a university degree in nursing or another health science discipline, administration, or equivalent discipline
  • Hold a second-cycle university degree in a relevant discipline (an asset)
  • Be a member in good standing of one of the following professional orders: the Order of Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of Quebec, the Professional Order of Respiratory Therapists of Quebec, the Professional Order of Physiotherapists of Quebec, or the Professional Order of Occupational Therapists of Quebec

Experience

  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience related to the position
  • Accumulate at least two (2) years of experience in an intermediate supervisory role
  • Possess relevant experience that can compensate for some requirements

Specific Knowledge

  • Good understanding of legislation and regulations concerning professions and trades related to safety activities and emergency measures in technical services
