The Position

In collaboration with the Director of General Accounting and Internal Control, you will contribute to evaluating the risks associated with business processes and assessing the effectiveness of control measures, in partnership with the various departments of Loto-Québec. Your expertise will help strengthen the risk management and internal control framework for the entire Vice-Presidency of Game Halls and Casinos.

You will be tasked with:

  • conducting risk analyses related to operational processes to establish the various risk levels;
  • evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of existing or proposed control measures;
  • advising the various departments on the control measures to be implemented;
  • harmonizing control attestations, including the inventory of risks and control measures in place;
  • managing major projects related to the evolution of operational modes, new activities, new projects, or new products;
  • supporting the audited teams within the framework of internal audit mandates;
  • collaborating with internal and external auditors in the execution of their mandates;
  • representing financial operations within files and committees requiring expertise in risk management and internal control;
  • ensuring coordination between operational teams and auditors to facilitate the execution of their mandates;

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a relevant field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in verification, internal control, or a related field

Other Requirements

  • Being a member in good standing of the CPA Order (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of gaming operations, fund movements, as well as complex exploitation and internal control systems
  • Proficiency in a highly computerized environment and facility to master different software, including Excel, Power Query, and Power BI
  • Excellent analytical, synthesis, and judgment skills
  • Rigor and good organizational sense
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Developed sense of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Availability to occasionally travel to different establishments
  • Availability to work, if necessary, according to an irregular schedule
