- Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the selected person will play a key advisory role to managers in matters of disability management, recruitment, training, and labor relations to achieve the plant's objectives. The coordinator will also act as a resource person for all employees.
Total Remuneration and Benefits
- Manage social benefits programs (collective insurance, REER, etc.)
- Support the management team and employees regarding working conditions
- Ensure the update of payroll information and its compliance with current policies and requirements
- Implement the recognition program and participate in its improvement
- Recruitment, Welcome, and Integration
- Develop attraction strategies to attract the best candidates
- Manage the entire recruitment process (approval, posting, interviews, pre-employment tests, etc.)
- Manage the entire welcome-integration process
- Advisory Role and Labor Relations
- Advise and support managers in the interpretation and administration of company and collective agreement policies
- In collaboration with the HR Director, manage and apply the various processes of the collective agreement and ensure its compliance
- Advise and participate in the resolution of labor relations cases in partnership with managers, employees, and the union
- Communication and Projects
- Participate in process, tool, and practice improvement initiatives in HR and/or the company
- Write and distribute internal communications
- Other
- Plan and organize various plant events and activities (Christmas party, summer BBQ, retirees' dinner, etc.)
- Ensure the follow-up of legal and corporate requirements regarding training
- Participate in information collection and report preparation when required
Job Requirements
- Hold a DEC in Human Resources or another relevant field
- Possess minimally 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel
- Bilingualism (French-English) spoken and written is essential. Knowledge of English is required, as internal stakeholders, external clients, suppliers, and service providers primarily interact with us in this language.
