The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling strategic projects. They ensure governance, risk management, performance tracking, deliverable quality, and stakeholder engagement. They support teams in achieving business objectives, ensure proper resource management, and contribute to the transition of solutions to operations, particularly in agile environments.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor all project activities to ensure the scope, schedules, budgets, and business objectives are met.
  • Develop and maintain key project management tools and deliverables (work breakdown structure, master plan, MOP, dashboards, risk registers, issues, and change requests).
  • Report to governance bodies and prepare progress presentations and reports for project and executive committees.
  • Participate in project portfolio planning and management, including prioritization, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Identify human, financial, material, and information resource needs required for project success.
  • Identify, analyze, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests that may impact projects.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and project health.
  • Plan, coordinate, supervise, validate, approve, and ensure the quality of deliverables under their responsibility.
  • Transfer knowledge and contribute to project reviews to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications Required for Success in this Role

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role;
  • 10 years of experience in information technology;
  • Strong synthesis and writing skills;
  • Leadership, versatility, autonomy, decision-oriented, and results-driven;
  • Experience in large-scale projects in an agile context;
  • Experience with development methodologies such as Macroscope, Giude vert, P+, etc.;
  • Experience with MS Project.

CGI offers a reasonable salary range estimate for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions are based on individual circumstances. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $70,000 and $135,000. This position is currently open.
