Expert Portfolio Governance Advisor

The role of Expert Portfolio Governance Advisor aims to ensure consistency between initiatives, business priorities, and organizational capabilities, while strengthening governance, monitoring, and accountability mechanisms. The incumbent serves as a reference in portfolio management, supporting decision-making bodies, optimizing project selection and prioritization processes, and contributing to organizational maturity in project management.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Advise, support, and accompany a dedicated team for portfolio governance, including operationalizing the portfolio;
• Develop criteria for investment scenario implementation;
• Identify issues, risks, challenges, solutions, and management mechanisms;
• Establish processes, dashboards, and committees;
• Provide advisory roles and anticipate issues and risk factors during solution implementation, proposing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Perform key steps in collaboration with the portfolio governance team, including:
• Collecting and analyzing required information;
• Producing investment scenarios;
• Participating in process evolution;
• Presenting to authorities for decision-making and providing follow-ups using dashboards;
• Planning the implementation of required work.

Qualifications Required to Succeed in This Role

• Possess a minimum of 12 years of work experience in the information technology domain;
• Have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a strategic advisor in implementing best practices in portfolio governance within a large organization;
• Have led mandates to master investment scenario concepts and portfolio performance indicators;
• Have experience in formulating recommendations for decision-making authorities.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on individual circumstances. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $80,000 and $155,000. This position is a future opportunity.
