We are looking for a Microsoft 365 bilingual architect to join our Microsoft 365 practice within our solution center. You will be responsible for defining modern, secure, governed, and scalable architectures, and then supporting our clients in their transformation, migration, and adoption programs for Microsoft 365 services. As a trusted advisor, you will intervene from pre-sales to implementation, collaborating with delivery, security, infrastructure, and managed services teams. You will also contribute to the industrialization of our offerings, methods, templates, and M365 accelerators.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Define target architectures, roadmaps, and Microsoft 365 recommendations based on business objectives, technical constraints, and security requirements;
- Design solutions covering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Purview, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 Copilot;
- Conduct assessments, gap analyses, migration strategies, governance models, and configuration standards;
- Produce and validate architecture deliverables: design folders, diagrams, decisions, transition plans, and acceptance criteria;
- Lead implementation teams, validate solution choices, and ensure compliance with approved architecture;
- Contribute to pre-sales activities: client workshops, estimates, solutions, RFP responses, and executive presentations;
- Identify risks, dependencies, and cross-domain impacts, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures;
- Support clients in the adoption, governance, and operation of Microsoft 365 services;
- Participate in the industrialization of M365 offerings, methods, templates, accelerators, and reusable assets;
- Serve as a technical reference, share best practices, and communicate effectively in both French and English.
Qualifications Required for Success in this Role
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- At least 8 years of IT experience, including 5 years in Microsoft 365 design or architecture roles;
- Demonstrated experience in complex M365 transformation, migration, governance, or security projects;
- Experience in consulting services, solution centers, or multi-client environments, an asset.
- Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture, including:
- Exchange Online and hybrid coexistence;
- Microsoft Teams, telephony, and collaboration;
- SharePoint Online and OneDrive;
- Microsoft Entra ID, modern authentication, MFA, conditional access, and identity governance;
- Microsoft Purview: information protection, DLP, retention, eDiscovery, and compliance;
- Power Platform, environment governance, and CoE model;
- Microsoft 365 Copilot, extensibility, and data and security preparation.
- Mastery of enterprise architecture, integration, Zero Trust security, and cloud governance principles;
- Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, including tenant-to-tenant and hybrid scenarios, as well as specialized tools like ShareGate or Quest;
- Ability to produce logical and technical architectures, standards, solution patterns, and decision documents;
- Strong knowledge of PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and applicable automation mechanisms for M365;
- Understanding of Azure environments, Active Directory, networking, DNS, PKI, and endpoint security;
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, managed services models, and operational continuity requirements;
- Microsoft expert or specialized certifications, such as MS 102, SC 100, SC 300, AZ 305, or equivalents, strongly preferred.

- Work Conditions
- Primarily hybrid work mode, with remote work and office/client presence as needed for project requirements;
- Mainly daytime work schedule, Monday to Friday;
- Occasional travel to clients, primarily in Quebec and Canada;
- Occasional out-of-hours interventions during critical migration, go-live, or transition activities;
- Collaboration with local, national, and international teams, sometimes spread across different time zones;
- Stimulating environment combining architecture, consulting, pre-sales, innovation, and implementation support;
- Access to continuous learning, CGI expertise communities, and Microsoft certification paths.
CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $60,000 and $120,000. This position is open.
