Responsibilities

  • Participate in compilation, review, audit, accounting, and tax missions.
  • Prepare and maintain sums and documents to be submitted to the state, debtors, charges, creditors, and payroll operations.
  • Prepare client files, assist in budget preparation, and ensure administrative planning.
  • Perform tasks related to month-end and quarter-end closing.
  • Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued charges, intercompany transactions, and uploads to a point-of-sale software or system.
  • Identify issues and errors, find the reason for discrepancies, consult with the mission director or responsible partner, and develop solutions.
  • Communicate with the government regarding information requests, payroll deductions, and provisional withholdings.
  • Collaborate with the mission team.
  • Handle administrative questions with clients and provide practical advice to other team members.
  • Be willing to travel, if necessary.

Skills and Experience

  • Accounting certification or bachelor's degree in business or business administration (preferably with a major in accounting or finance)
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience in preparing T4 and T5 forms, and knowledge of individual and corporate income tax
  • Practical knowledge of accounting processes and principles
  • Experience with accounting and tax software
