About Anasens
Anasens is a Montreal-based medical technology company that develops an innovative platform for quantitative drug or medication detection from biological matrices (saliva, blood). Our technology combines next-generation biocaptors, microfluidics, electronics, and data analysis to provide rapid and accurate results directly at the point of service.
Our multidisciplinary team collaborates with industrial, academic, and international partners to bring this technology to market.
As part of our growth, we are looking to hire a senior project manager capable of effectively coordinating all of our development activities.
Your Role
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing several technical projects simultaneously. You will act as the central point between scientific teams, engineers, external partners, suppliers, and management to ensure the achievement of quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
You will also contribute to establishing robust project management practices that will support the future growth of the company.
Main Responsibilities *Project Management*
- Plan, organize, and coordinate several technical projects in parallel;
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and performance indicators;
- Identify dependencies, risks, and implement mitigation plans;
- Ensure tracking of deliverables and critical milestones;
- Ensure preparation of reports for grant funding;
- Report project progress to management (e.g., via dashboard).
- *Multidisciplinary Coordination*
- Coordinate the work of R&D, engineering teams, and external partners;
- Facilitate effective project management through regular planning, evaluation, and decision-making meetings;
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders;
- Organize and lead follow-up meetings;
- Ensure information flow and decision tracking.
- *External Partner Management*
- Coordinate activities performed by suppliers, consultants, and academic partners;
- Act as the main point of contact for various partners and stakeholders;
- Track contracts, deliverables, and schedules;
- Participate in technical discussions with external partners.
- *Process Improvement*
- Develop and implement project management tools adapted to a growing company;
- Standardize planning, documentation, and tracking methods;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
- Desired Profile
- *Education*
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly desired.
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (asset).
- Lean Six Sigma (asset).
- *Experience*
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing several projects simultaneously.
- Experience in technological product development.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience in product scaling, or moving a prototype from development to commercialization (asset).
- Experience in coordinating with partners or teams in different countries is an asset.
- Experience in medical technologies, medical devices, diagnostics, biotechnologies, or pharmaceutical sector is a significant asset.
- *Skills*
- Excellent planning and organization skills (Agile method).
- History of using one of the classic project management tools: Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), Smartsheet, MS Project, or comparable tools.
- Collaborative leadership.
- Ability to establish priorities in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Sense of organization and ability to structure the work environment in a growing company.
- Good communication skills.
- Analytical mindset and results-oriented.
- Ability to mobilize teams without necessarily having a direct hierarchical link.
- Bilingual French/English.
- *Technical Knowledge*
- One or more of the following is an asset:
- Document management
- ISO 13485
- Management of international suppliers
- Product development
- Risk management
- Development of medical devices or in vitro diagnostics (IVD)
- Knowledge of biological matrices
- Knowledge of microfluidics
- Knowledge of electronic development
