We are looking for a
Shipper / Receiver to join our team in Saint-Augustin.
SUMMARY
The shipper/receiver is responsible for the shipment and receipt of all goods in the warehouse. They must communicate all shipment details to the recipient and ensure the highest accuracy of everything that is shipped/received. At all times, the candidate must ensure the safety and maintenance of the warehouse and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare all shipments and clearly identify all items;
- Confirm the accuracy and pack shipments to ensure a safe and intact arrival at the destination;
- Prepare carrier bills of lading (BOL), as needed;
- Prepare shipping and customs documents;
- Contact and arrange for carrier pickups;
- Ensure the availability and storage of warehouse and shipping supplies;
- Returns from vendors;
- Locate missing pieces needed for shipment;
- Receive all goods and shipments for the warehouse;
- Inspect and confirm all shipments to detect damages, excesses, and shortages;
- Receive items into the DMS;
- Unblock pending orders (all customer orders);
- Maintain records;
- Notify the recipient of received goods;
- Deliver the shipment to the recipient;
- Store pieces on shelves when time permits;
- Report, track, and claim all shortages to carriers or vendors;
- Report shortages to the intended recipient;
- Participate in cycle counts.
Basic Skills
- General warehousing;
- Knowledge of the shipping and receiving process;
- Forklift certificate;
- General knowledge of transportation regulations;
- Record keeping.
Education/Training
- Post-secondary diploma and/or relevant professional experience.
- Health And Safety
