Superintendent - Quebec

YOUR CHALLENGE

The Superintendent, reporting to the Operations Manager, is responsible for ensuring the smooth progress of construction work on the site(s). They must communicate all necessary information to the Project Manager for project tracking and control.

Start date: November 2026.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and manage the workforce on-site;
• Analyze and assimilate plans and estimates;
• Communicate work assignments and task sequences to staff and verify their execution;
• Coordinate with the Project Coordinator;
• Adhere to budgets and conduct bi-weekly revisions with the Project Coordinator;
• Coordinate activities among various stakeholders (client personnel and subcontractors);
• Provide weekly schedule updates to the Project Coordinator;
• Provide technical support to the site and collaborate with the Project Coordinator on developing feasible solutions;
• Plan and lead site meetings with subcontractors and the Project Coordinator;
• Coordinate and plan the procurement of tools and materials on-site;
• Verify the arrival of materials and equipment, ensure compliance with purchase orders, and plan their storage in collaboration with the Site Foreman;
• Develop a 3-week schedule, contribute to schedule updates, and ensure compliance with the Project Coordinator;
• Monitor the quality of executed work;
• Participate in the development of work methods;
• Document the progress of work (site journal, photos, etc.) with the Foreman and Site Coordinator;
• Ensure the maintenance of the site office;
• Monitor safety and site conditions with the SST Agent;
• Address non-conformities on-site;
• Ensure the site is completely safe (holes, ramps, stairs, extensions, rough spots that can cause injuries, harnesses, lifelines, etc.) in collaboration with the SST Agent;
• Address deficiencies at the end of the project;
• Enforce CSST and EMD construction prevention program rules;
• Participate in the project Post-mortem meeting;
• Perform any other related tasks.
