As a Materials Resources and Operations Coordinator, you play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of our distribution center. You oversee the coordination of activities related to buildings, equipment, suppliers, and improvement projects to effectively support operations.
What you will do
- Act as a project manager for renovation, improvement, and optimization projects of the distribution center, ensuring coordination, schedule tracking, and collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver priority projects.
- Participate in the management and tracking of service contracts by building trust with suppliers, contractors, and business partners while ensuring compliance with agreements and assigned mandates.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of materials resource management tools to effectively support the distribution center's operations and ensure the accuracy of information.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance of equipment, work tools, and facilities with health and safety standards, including those of the CNESST, and recommend required corrective actions.
- Manage operational purchases, including the preparation of purchase orders, tracking of supplies, and communication with suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary resources for warehouse activities.
- Write, update, and optimize operational procedures, work guides, and documents with a focus on efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process and operational improvements and propose concrete solutions to enhance the efficiency, safety, and performance of the distribution center.
- Actively participate in the smooth functioning of operations by performing any other related tasks that contribute to performance and the achievement of organizational goals.
What we are looking for
- A DEC in administration, logistics, procurement, operations management, or any other relevant training
- Excellent organizational skills and a recognized ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a dynamic environment
- A strong sense of autonomy, judgment, and responsibility
- A proactive approach, a strong sense of initiative, and excellent problem-solving skills
- A good analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving mindset
- A high level of rigor, attention to detail, and a quick learning capacity
- Excellent French language skills, both oral and written
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Experience in operations coordination, warehousing, logistics, materials resources, maintenance, or facility management (asset)
- Experience in building, equipment, or rolling stock maintenance or a strong interest in this field
