Position Summary
OVE is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a long-term career within a growing organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in receiving, shipping, inventory management, and warehouse operations, while demonstrating the leadership potential to grow into a supervisory role and become a key member of the warehouse leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely unload containers and receive inbound shipments.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and replenishment activities.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and handheld RF scanners to accurately process inventory transactions.
- Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain inventory locations while ensuring warehouse cleanliness and safety.
- Prepare customer orders and outbound shipments according to company standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure daily operational objectives are achieved.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and leadership qualities with the objective of progressing into a future supervisory position.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of warehouse experience.
- Valid forklift operator certification (required).
- Experience unloading ocean containers.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Proficiency with handheld RF scanners.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Leadership potential with a desire to grow into a supervisory role.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Inventory control and cycle count experience.
- Salary: Starting at $25.00 per hour
