Railway Signal Operator

RB & C Rail is looking for a railway signal operator to join its team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person will play a key role in supervising traffic on job sites to ensure the safety of workers.

• TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safety and Discipline
• Always respect and apply railway and highway safety rules.
• Wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Maintain a professional and disciplined posture during signaling.
• Teamwork
• Work closely with colleagues to coordinate movements.
• Support other team members in implementing safety measures.
• Actively participate in job site instructions and meetings.
• Communication
• Provide clear and quick instructions to operators and workers.
• Effectively use communication methods (gestures, flags, radios, etc.).
• Immediately inform the foreman of any risky situation or anomaly.
• Vigilance and Prevention
• Continuously monitor the environment to detect potential dangers.
• Take the initiative to stop operations in case of an unsafe situation.
• Contribute to accident prevention with a proactive and attentive attitude.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Training in the railway field
• REFC training
• Good oral communication in both French and English
• Excellent physical condition

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Possess a Class 5 driver's license
• Possess a TIG
• Be punctual and patient
• Mastery of Canadian railway operations standards and regulations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
