Note: The ideal candidate should live in the community in question. Applications from individuals who do not live in the post office community may be considered as needed.

Professional Responsibilities

• Sell postal products and services to businesses and the public;
• Sort, distribute, and properly handle mail;
• Provide clients with information and forms;
• Handle delivery and service issues to quickly and completely resolve problems.

Admissibility Criteria

• High school diploma or equivalent provincial, or experience in business administration
• Training and/or experience related to interacting with the public in retail sales and/or the service industry, including sales and cash transactions
• Understanding of ordinary accounting systems or post offices
• Sufficient physical fitness to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for long periods
• Flexibility to be available for temporary on-call tasks
