Mandate

Health Quebec Outaouais is seeking candidates to fill the position of Food Service Activities Supervisor, Urban Sector, at the Technical Services and Logistics Department (DSTL). Our institution employs 11,500 people across 71 facilities in the Outaouais territory and manages an annual operating budget of approximately $1.5 billion. Its mission is to maintain, improve, and restore the health and well-being of the Outaouais population by providing accessible, integrated, and high-quality health and social services, contributing to the social and economic development of the region.

Summary of Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Food Activities Coordinator, the Urban Sector Food Service Supervisor exercises leadership in a context of organizational transformation and continuous improvement, in line with ministerial guidelines and the institution's performance objectives.

The incumbent manages, coordinates, and optimizes activities related to food production, quality control, food storage, and distribution across various satellite centers. They also support the "producer center" and "expertise center" aspects to ensure a secure, efficient, and user-need-responsive food supply.

They oversee the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of recipes, with a focus on consistent quality, optimal resource utilization, and cost control. They analyze production needs, adjust production volumes, and production plans. As an operational manager, they ensure efficient workforce planning and rigorous management of supplies and inventories. They are also responsible for managing the personnel under their supervision, including staffing, skill development, and mobilization. The incumbent ensures sound budgetary management of their activity sectors and oversees the compilation and accuracy of statistical units.

As a public sector manager, they are accountable for their management both internally and externally and are called upon to account for it at all times.

Each manager contributes to integrated risk management within their area of responsibility by identifying risk situations, implementing appropriate preventive or corrective measures, and ensuring the necessary follow-up to support quality, safety, and continuous improvement of care and services.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in administrative sciences, management sciences, or any other relevant discipline
• At least two (2) years of professional experience in a related field
• Excellent understanding of the health and social services sector, its administration, and its legal framework
• Any other combination of experience and education deemed relevant may be considered
• Valid driver's license required
