The Rolling Stock and Workshop Services ensures the availability and reliability of vehicles as well as various specialized services and products adapted to clients' needs, in an eco-responsible and safe work environment.
Your Mandate
You carry out fabrication and repair work on various pieces and articles in sheet metal or other metals. You prepare patterns and templates for sheet metal work, develop shop drawings and sketches, and manufacture or install various components.
More specifically, you:
- Read and interpret plans and drawings;
- Make sketches, shop drawings, developments (patterns) and templates;
- Take the necessary measurements to carry out your work, mark, fold, cut and assemble metal pieces;
- Prepare, manufacture and repair all kinds of pieces in metals of varying thicknesses;
- Shape the necessary pieces for the work and proceed to their assembly;
- Give the pieces the desired finish by grinding;
- Adjust and use, regularly, all the machine tools used to prepare the pieces for unique or series production;
- Use the necessary tools for shaping, cutting, assembly and riveting work.
DESIRED PROFILE
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in sheet metal work - sheet metal or precision sheet metal work
- 2 years of experience related to the responsibilities of the position, specifically as a sheet metal worker in the manufacture of various pieces and articles
In the event that the position cannot be filled with a person meeting these requirements, individuals who have applied, have at least one (1) year of relevant experience and meet all other requirements of the position may be considered.
