Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of maintenance planner, building, at the Montreal refinery. Reporting to the director of maintenance, the incumbent is responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance work as well as planned production shutdowns. The maintenance planner actively participates in prioritizing work orders with other departments. They also monitor the regular maintenance budget and justify project requests for equipment as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, and coordinate maintenance, modification, and project work in collaboration with the operations department;
- Participate in the development and implementation of an active preventive maintenance program and ensure distribution according to established frequencies and completion;
- Make automation of systems a priority to quickly obtain performance indicators for the maintenance department;
- Establish simple tools with the IT department to allow field employees to close work orders directly;
- Collect, compile, and analyze maintenance performance data, equipment breakdowns, and work;
- Participate in the development and training of unionized personnel and maintenance supervision.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or DEC or DEP in a related maintenance field;
- Five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook);
- Knowledge of planning software (GMAO);
- Knowledge of Maximo software (an asset);
- Experience in the food industry (an asset);
- Experience in a unionized environment (an asset);
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and adapt easily to change;
- Ability to manage stress;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
