What will you contribute to the team?
- Report daily to the Director of Structural Design Cell and to the VP of Advanced Engineering as a member of the Fellows' board.
- Work collaboratively with functional engineering leaders, design leads, and experimental teams.
- Provide technical leadership to support key company objectives, including the development of new programs, increased production rates, cost-driven design, cost-reduction initiatives, and fleet performance improvement.
- Offer technical expertise for technology acquisition programs.
- Collaborate with functional, platform, and flight/ground test leaders to ensure successful implementation and testing across flight, ground, and supplier operations.
- Lead and supervise structural and systems integration throughout the development process, from aircraft structures to systems installation.
- Supervise one or more projects requiring a high level of integration or coordination with multiple departments, functions, and suppliers.
- Serve as the engineering representative to key company leadership teams and suppliers.
- Ensure integration between multiple engineering disciplines to resolve critical technical issues.
How will you thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
- You have a minimum of 20 years of experience in aircraft structural design and aircraft-level systems installation and integration, including demonstrated experience across multiple disciplines.
- You have proven experience in leading IPDT (Integrated Product Development Teams) on one or more aircraft development programs.
- You have experience in communicating with executive leaders and external stakeholders.
- Experience as a DAD (Designated Aviation Canada Delegate) or DER (Designated Engineering Representative of the FAA) is an asset.
- You are capable of integrating multiple engineering disciplines to solve complex problems.
- You demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills.
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills and are proficient in both French and English, both orally and in writing.
