Health Québec Outaouais is seeking candidates to fill the position of Head of Service – SAD, RNI, SAPA and DITSA-DP Petite-Nation at the Home Support, Disability and Rehabilitation Services (DSADDR) department. Our institution employs 11,500 people across 71 facilities in the Outaouais territory and manages an annual operating budget of approximately $1.5 billion. Summary of Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the SAD and Integrated Services Coordinator DIDPTSA, the Head of Service – SAD, RNI, SAPA and DITSA-DP Petite-Nation exercises leadership in a context of significant transformation and continuous improvement, in accordance with ministerial guidelines and the achievement of expected results.

He manages the interdisciplinary teams of services for the SAPA, DI-DP-TSA, home support, and non-institutional resources (RNI) clienteles in the Petite-Nation sector of the Papineau RLS. He ensures the accessibility of services under his responsibility by monitoring the waiting lists of his territory. He implements the required actions to achieve the targets set in the management and accountability agreements (EGI).

He acts as an interlocutor with the RNI and RPA of the Petite Nation sector, particularly by monitoring the collaboration agreements. He also ensures the implementation of good clinical and management practices, related to the follow-up of users in RNI, in accordance with the current reference framework. He contributes to the fluidity of hospital services as well as the management of alternative care levels (NSA) for the sector under his governance. He maintains close ties with all community partners. He ensures efficient management of direct allocation resources, respite services, and home support services for the clienteles served by his team. He collaborates closely with the DSADDR managers of the Papineau RLS and the rehabilitation and RNI services managers of the urban sector. Finally, he exercises his functions in medical cogestion with the physicians working within his service.

As a manager within a public institution, he is accountable for his management both internally and externally and is called upon to account for it at all times.

Each manager contributes, within their area of responsibility, to the integrated management of risks by identifying risky situations, implementing appropriate preventive or corrective measures, and ensuring the required follow-up to support the quality, safety, and continuous improvement of care and services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in administrative sciences, management, or any other relevant discipline
  • At least two (2) years of professional experience in a related field
  • Very good understanding of the health and social services sector, its administration, and its legal framework
  • Any other combination of experience and training deemed relevant may be considered
  • Automobile required
