Responsibilities

Under the authority of the Director of Communications, Legal and Corporate Affairs, the incumbent holds a key strategic and operational support role for all services within the division. They assist the director in the overall management of internal and external communication activities of the establishment, as well as those of the Legal Affairs Service. They promote the mission, values, and the overall service offerings of the establishment.

The incumbent supports the director in overseeing official communications of the organization to ensure uniformity, consistency, accuracy, and professionalism of the messages disseminated. They also act as the responsible party for the protection of personal information of the organization. They update and implement various communication strategies to support the mission and priorities of the division.

They support the director in coordinating relationships with internal and external partners, including political bodies, media, partner organizations, and key stakeholders. They assume responsibility for certain corporate affairs activities, including the preparation of official documents, coordination of events, and dissemination of public information. They contribute to the preparation of press conferences and public interventions by individuals representing the organization.

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, communication, or a relevant discipline*;
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience*;
  • Significant professional or management experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent strategic communication skills (analysis, writing, simplification, argumentation);
  • Very good understanding of the healthcare and social services sector, its administration, and its legal framework.
  • Any other combination of education and experience may be considered in accordance with Santé Québec guidelines and the establishment's orientations.
