• Your responsibilities as a Meat Department Assistant Manager:
• Assist the manager in planning and coordinating department activities to achieve sales and profitability goals set by the director, while respecting the applicable collective agreement;
• Assist the manager in managing employees;
• Substitute for the manager when they are absent;
• Be able to place orders and make purchases for the department;
• Verify the compliance of invoices with delivery notes and ensure the receipt of goods;
• Ensure the store is ready to receive customers in terms of merchandise quantity, meat display presentation, and stock rotation;
• Ensure the department is ready for business;
• Ensure product labeling complies with store standards, the chief office price list, and optical scanner prices, and ensure price cards comply with the circular;
• Maintain the freshness of department products at all times;
• Ensure compliance with the store's merchandising planograms;
• Be able to create employee schedules;
• Ensure compliance with company policies (receiving, safety, etc.) and health, hygiene, and safety regulations;
• Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• 3 years of experience as a butcher.
