In collaboration with the supervisor, Store Front Associate Manager (SAM), the senior cashier plays a key role in the adoption by associates, Store Front, of the behaviors of the Pass to ACTion model (greet the customer, build a connection, and end with a thank you) to offer an excellent shopping experience to the customer. The holder of this position trains and coaches Store Front and Parking associates, and helps them improve. Additionally, he ensures adequate staffing by establishing schedules according to needs and acts as the first point of contact in resolving customer issues.
Main Responsibilities: Customer Satisfaction
Set the example by always adopting the behaviors of the Pass to ACTion model and encouraging a positive attitude among associates.
Ensure there are enough cash registers open to prevent queues from stretching to more than two customers while another checks out.
Examine the Store Front daily from the customer's perspective to ensure it is ready as for a grand opening; ensure promotions are executed according to the guide and prepared for the circular.
Supervise associates and activities to ensure adequate staffing that meets business needs.
Provide associates with the training, information, tools, coaching, directives, encouragement, and recognition needed to meet expectations and assume greater responsibilities in the store.
Store Front Direction
Communicate to associates the objectives, priorities, and directions from the store management team.
Ensure the parking area is clean and conducive to shopping.
Call on relief cashiers, as needed, and assign them a cash register.
Know how to operate a cash register and train associates on its operation.
Accompany security agents during money collection.
Maintenance of Security and Reduction of Losses
Respect all security and loss prevention policies and associated processes.
Respect the Store Front processes to reduce losses and protect assets, and ensure that Store Front associates do the same.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Professional Experience: One or two years of experience in the retail sector or as a cashier, an asset.
Management Experience: At least one year of experience in staff management.
