To participate in this program, you must reside in Canada for the duration of the engagement.

This opportunity is for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Our research student program offers flexibility regarding time commitment, duration, and work location (on-site or remote), depending on the specific project or host's needs. Start dates for this role typically range from August to December.

This program is better suited for students who are not seeking full-time employment at the end of the role, as it is not eligible for conversion.

Minimum

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field
• Work experience in one of the computer science domains (e.g., natural language understanding, human-computer interaction, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, algorithmic foundations of optimization, quantum information science, data science, software development, or similar domains)

Preferred Qualifications

• Full-time course enrollment and resumption of studies after the internship
• Pursuing a degree in Canada
• Research experience, including full-time or lab internships
• Work experience in at least one of the general programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.)
• Experience contributing to research efforts or communities, including publishing articles in important conferences or journals

The base Canadian salary for this full-time position is 99,000 CAD, determined by the role, level, and location. Individual compensation is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
