POWER BI SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Power BI Software Developer to join our team of advisors at our Montreal office as a permanent position.

This position is hybrid. 2 days per week at the Montreal office.

As an advisor/consultant for Chrome Technologies, the candidate will work with our clients to complete the projects they have entrusted to us.

There are two aspects to this role:

• Aspect 1: Project Aspect. Migrate Business Object reports to the cloud to create Power BI reports. The resource must be very comfortable with Power BI (validate data and create reports).
• Aspect 2: Take SQL support. Very comfortable with SQL.
• Tasks
• Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that meet client needs.
• Responsible for the quality and documentation of software solutions.
• Responsible for the evolution and support of software solutions.
• Collaborates in the analysis and specification of business needs (User Story).
• Participates in the realization of feasibility studies and proofs of concept.
• In addition to technical activities, the developer may also have the responsibility of supervising the work of his colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or any other combination of relevant training.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• A "senior" level resource must demonstrate the following qualifications:
• Experience in software architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions and data modeling;
• Experience in designing REST API-based architectures;
• Experience in developing REST APIs with JSON as the data exchange format;
• Experience in Front End and/or Back End programming in one or more languages such as C#, ASP.net, JavaScript;
• Experience with frameworks such as .NET core;
• Experience with JavaScript libraries such as VueJS or React;
• Experience in test automation;
• Experience with Agile development processes;
• Knowledge of MS SQL databases, SSRS, and SSIS;
• Knowledge of Microsoft CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps services) and pipeline configuration;
• Knowledge of source code management tools: Git;
• Desirable knowledge of deployment in containers (Docker, Podman);
• Desirable knowledge of task management and tracking tools: Jira, Azure Boards;
• Knowledge of new practices in software development and emerging technologies;
• Demonstrated ability to quickly master new technologies and tools.

An "intermediate" level resource must demonstrate qualifications similar to those of a senior, although less extensive.
