DEVELOPER - INFRASTRUCTURE AUTOMATION IAC (UNIX/LINUX)

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Infrastructure Automation IaC (Unix/Linux) Developer to join our team of consultants at our Montreal office for a permanent position.

This position is hybrid. 2 days per week at the Montreal office.

As a consultant for Chrome Technologies, the candidate will work with our clients on the projects they have entrusted us with.

The department managing our client's Linux infrastructure manages the Java middleware based on their UNIX and Linux infrastructure. The team's mission is to build new solutions to support business solution teams and maintain and develop automation for business solutions (new or existing). As a... or analyst-programmer, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), you will participate in designing, automating, administering, and maintaining middleware solutions on the Linux platform to meet the organization's needs.

Tasks

As a... or analyst-programmer, IaC, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, automating, and maintaining middleware solutions on Linux platforms to support business solution teams.
• Designing and improving CI/CD and middleware infrastructure delivery pipelines.
• Developing scripts, roles, and playbooks to automate the creation, configuration, and administration of middleware environments (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, etc.).
• Collaborating closely with business sectors and technical teams, participating in analyses, clarifying technical requirements, and contributing to problem-solving.
• Contributing to the development of new features and the continuous improvement of existing tools and processes.
• Maintaining and optimizing middleware environments through automation, adhering to standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience. Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
• Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of agile development concepts and practices
• Knowledge of Java Linux middleware (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss, etc.).
• Practical knowledge of tools: Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Terraform, VRA, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Knowledge of French required
