FP\&A Analyst, Process \& Data Optimization
Reporting to: VP, FP\&A
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and technology-driven FP\&A Analyst, Process \& Data optimization to join our FP\&A team.
This role combines financial planning and analysis with business intelligence, automation, data modeling, and process optimization. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting FP\&A operations while leading initiatives focused on reporting automation, data governance, dashboard development, and the continued evolution of our Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environment.
This position is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical capabilities who enjoys transforming data into actionable insights and driving operational efficiencies through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning \& Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated budgets, forecasts, and management reporting packages.
- Participate in month-end and year-end activities, including financial allocations, month-end reporting, and reconciliations.
- Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decision-making.
- Business Intelligence \& Analytics
- Develop and maintain enterprise Power BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
- Build and maintain complex data models using Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop scalable reporting structures to improve visibility into financial and operational performance.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions.
- Data Management \& Governance
- Manage and optimize data flows, data transformations, and data quality processes.
- Support the ongoing migration and development of the company's Microsoft Fabric data platform.
- Collaborate with the BI team and business stakeholders to enhance data architecture and reporting capabilities.
- Implement and maintain best practices related to data governance, documentation, and model design.
- Process Optimization \& Automation
- Identify opportunities to automate manual finance processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and support automation initiatives using Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Document business processes, reporting workflows, and technical solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across Finance and other business functions.
- Collaboration \& Project Leadership
- Act as a business partner to Finance, BI, and operational teams.
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects related to business intelligence, reporting, and process transformation.
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent professional designation is considered an asset.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in FP\&A, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Finance Systems, or a related field.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting, automation, and financial planning processes.
- Proven experience delivering reporting and process improvement projects.
- Technical Skills
- Required
- Expert-level Power BI development experience.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and data lake architecture.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex financial and operational modeling.
- Experience managing large datasets from multiple data sources.
- Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE).
- Assets
- SQL development experience.
- Power Automate experience.
- Hubble reporting experience.
- Exposure to AI and Microsoft Copilot technologies.
