What You Will Do

  • Develop and proactively maintain strong relationships with team members, partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals and vision.
  • Support project management teams in developing and managing the construction schedule, ensuring completion dates and milestones are met or exceeded.
  • Leverage your problem-solving skills and recommend innovative methods to increase efficiency and ensure project excellence and productivity.
  • Use your proactive approach to ensure compliance with our first-class quality program.
  • Utilize your experience in selecting professional partners and coordinating their activities.
  • Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage, and meet project budgets, costs, and associated purchases.
  • Serve as both a mentor and role model for your project team, providing guidance and support to help them advance in their careers.
  • Act as an expert in risk management, ensuring all project-related risks are minimized.
  • Be proud to compile and complete enterprise-wide project reports for executive teams and client groups.
  • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection within the project. Effectively apply project-specific safety requirements to promote Pomerleau's health, safety, and environmental protection standards, as well as applicable workplace health and safety laws, regulations, and codes for all project employees and partners.
  • This position is for you if you have:
  • 8 to 10 years of experience on large-scale construction projects.
  • A university degree in engineering or a related field.
  • A keen sense of business and knowledge of project management methodologies, financial management, Canadian building codes, and associated legislation.
  • Professional experience in the construction sector with a strong understanding of project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and a talent for coaching and mentoring.
  • A strong ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project, and technical issues.
  • Previous experience with a scheduling software.
