As an IT Support Technician - Level 3, you act as a technical reference resource for the support teams. You are responsible for resolving complex incidents, participating in the implementation of new technologies, maintaining workstation infrastructures, and contributing to the continuous improvement of information technology services.

You also play a mentor role to Level 1 and 2 technicians and actively participate in the organization's technological projects.

More specifically, you will:

  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex incidents from Level 1 and 2 support teams, and provide technical support and mentoring.
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced issues related to workstations, operating systems, applications, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Maintain Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory environments.
  • Participate in the administration and optimization of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) platforms.
  • Deploy, maintain, and optimize Windows images and automated deployment processes.
  • Ensure the management of Windows, iOS, and Android devices in mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
  • Collaborate with systems administrators during infrastructure interventions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment, including switches, Wi-Fi access points, and firewalls, in collaboration with network administrators.
  • Participate in performance analyses, preventive maintenance activities, and the resolution of recurring issues.
  • Produce and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
  • Participate in the management of IT assets and the evolution of technological standards.
  • Ensure a technological watch and recommend improvements to optimize IT services.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Hold a DEP in Computer Techniques or equivalent training.
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT support and Microsoft environment administration.
  • Excellent mastery of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and SCCM/MECM.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networks, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewalls.
  • Experience in automated workstation deployment and Windows image management.
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell and administrative task automation.
  • Experience in resolving complex incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and establish priorities.
  • Excellent mastery of French and intermediate to advanced English to support an anglophone clientele.
  • Be eligible for a security clearance required under the Government of Canada's Contract Security Program.

Assets

  • Experience with Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClient).
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager and iOS devices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft cybersecurity solutions.
  • Microsoft or Fortinet certifications.
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
