Erikson Audio, a division of JAM, distributes professional audio, installation, and recording products in Canada. We are a dynamic, growing team looking for a Product Manager for our Professional Audio market segment. This position is focused on installation and production for equipment rental, with a particular emphasis on brands such as Ashly, Audix, RF Venue, HK Audio, Surgex, and Point Source.

Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (flexible) |

Location: Baie-D'Urfé, QC (hybrid work environment).

The candidate will be responsible for managing products for a portfolio of brands: marketing strategy, demonstrations, training, installation design, procurement, and supplier relationship management. The candidate will also lead product and marketing activities, provide training, and prepare demonstrations for the sales team.

The position offers potential for growth and the opportunity to assume more responsibilities over time. The candidate will work closely with the division's vice president.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of professional audio/AV brands, act as market expert, and develop growth strategies;
  • Develop pricing and marketing strategies for the Canadian market;
  • Perform sales, profitability, and competition analyses;
  • Manage inventories;
  • Develop close relationships with suppliers and maintain open communications;
  • Design and support audio installation systems (Ease/Visio/CAD): churches, gymnasiums, hotels, educational institutions, businesses, business communication systems, etc.;
  • Act as a product application specialist;
  • Collaborate with the sales team, AV integrators, consultants, and end-users to stimulate demand;
  • Support the Canadian sales team: product demonstrations, training, design, and technical applications;
  • Provide expertise on product applications, competitive environment, and industry trends;
  • Coordinate marketing and communication activities;
  • Participate in the organization of trade shows, special events, and other promotional activities.

What we are looking for

  • Practical knowledge of products and experience in the industry: audio installations and corporate AV;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience;
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, technical training, or related field (an asset);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong technical skills;
  • Ability to work with little supervision, independently or in a team, and perform under pressure;
  • Initiative, organizational skills, results-oriented mindset, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Knowledge of MS Office and JD Edwards/E1 (an asset);
  • Bilingual.
