Your role
Reporting to the Operations Director, the reception-shipping foreman assistant supports the daily coordination of shipping and receiving activities. They ensure the smooth running of operations, compliance with procedures, accuracy of inventories, and achievement of departmental goals.
Your responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and support shipping activities;
- Ensure compliance with deadlines, procedures, and quality standards;
- Ensure the filling of the picking zone for shipping;
- Track and manage dead stock;
- Physically check inventory and ensure data accuracy;
- Confirm container receipts and participate in the planning of goods receipts;
- Optimize product location organization and precision;
- Substitute the shipping foreman during their absences;
- Support office clerks and substitute as needed;
- Collaborate with carriers and external suppliers;
- Manage shipping documentation (delivery notes, transport documents, shipment tracking, etc.);
- Participate in the training of new department employees;
- Respect company policies, procedures, and standards;
- Respect health and safety standards;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Skills and qualifications
- Excellent French proficiency;
- Functional English to communicate with carriers and other stakeholders;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly resolve problems;
- Proficiency in computer tools, including Excel, ERP systems, and inventory management software;
- Excellent organization and sense of responsibility;
- Autonomy and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
- Ability to work in a team and maintain good working relationships;
- Attention to detail and procedure compliance;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Required experience
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in logistics, receiving-shipping, or inventory management; or
- College-level training in logistics or a related field; or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
