Coordinator for Recreation, Communications, and Arena

The Municipality of Chambord is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to coordinate arena operations, support local organizations, and participate in the organization of community activities and events. Reporting to the general manager and working in collaboration with the coordinator for community development and animation, the successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and administratively follow up on arena operations, as well as provide support to local committees and organizations.

Main Responsibilities

Arena and Sports Facilities

  • Coordinate daily arena activities;
  • Make reservations and follow up with users;
  • Ensure a balanced and accessible service offering to the population;
  • Support the planning of ice times and activities;
  • Collaborate with user organizations and local partners;
  • Supervise employees (attendants, maintenance, security);
  • Participate in hiring, training, and evaluating staff;
  • Monitor the food concession;
  • Administrative and budgetary follow-up;
  • Ensure the maintenance and safety of facilities;
  • Maintain a structured and motivating work environment;
  • Provide quality customer service to citizens.

Recreation and Events

  • Participate in the organization of municipal and community events;
  • Coordinate the logistics of special activities, shows, municipal programming, and gatherings;
  • Support various municipal committees and organizations;
  • Participate in funding searches and the preparation of grant applications;
  • Collaborate on the implementation of the strategic plan and community development projects.

Communication

  • Write and distribute communications to citizens;
  • Update social media and validate the municipal website;
  • Produce promotional materials and information tools;
  • Establish a communication policy;
  • Ensure the visibility of municipal activities and events.
  • Required Profile
  • Hold a university degree in recreation or equivalent experience;
  • Hold a communication certificate or equivalent experience;
  • Possess experience in coordination, recreation, administration, or a related field;
  • Have excellent computer skills;
  • Demonstrate planning, organization, and customer service skills;
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Show autonomy, versatility, diligence, and initiative;

Hold a valid driver's license.
