The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environment programs to ensure regulatory compliance, employee protection, and continuous improvement of HSE performance at the site.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with CNESST, LSST, and applicable regulations.
- Conduct risk analyses, audits, and inspections.
- Supervise accident, incident, and hazardous situation investigations.
- Coordinate HSE training programs.
- Ensure the maintenance of the company's CTPAT certification.
- Manage site access in accordance with the company's security requirements and CTPAT standards, including visitor, supplier, and external contractor control.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and evacuation drills.
- Serve as the first responder and coordinate interventions during emergency situations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and waste management.
- Prepare HSE performance reports and indicators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in health, safety, and environment.
- Significant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards - an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of Quebec regulations.
