The Manuvie Claims Administrative Unit is an important provider of insurance solutions that meet the diverse financial needs of Canadian families. In collaboration with independent advisors across the country, we offer innovative solutions for wealth management and financial protection, including separate accounts, mutual funds, annuities, guaranteed interest accounts, individual life insurance products, and one of the most comprehensive living benefit product portfolios in the industry, which includes serious illness insurance, long-term care insurance, and disability insurance.

We are currently looking for a claims analyst who will join our team to provide excellent service to our clients across Canada. The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy, professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and perseverance, be motivated by teamwork, and provide exceptional customer service, especially in the most critical moments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients by demonstrating the highest degree of professionalism in all communications.
  • Communicate professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate empathy and anticipate client needs through active listening.
  • Review claim requests and ensure that files are processed in accordance with procedures and laws regarding products, personal information protection, pension plans, and anti-money laundering, as well as Canadian tax regulations.
  • Document claim files to ensure the accuracy of event recording.
  • Obtain complete information to ensure the accuracy of files.
  • Update the system meticulously to ensure the accuracy of provision calculations.

Required Skills

  • Bilingualism (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will need to communicate in English and French to serve clients from various provinces outside Quebec.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Great ease in managing calls with clients in mourning or emotional states.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and great ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with our internal and external clients, applicants, advisors, lawyers, and employees.
