Truck Mechanic

Main Duties

• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect running engines, perform road tests, and test automotive systems and components.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of tractor-trailer systems.
• Diagnose faults and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether the unit should be repaired or replaced.
• Test and adjust repaired systems according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Inform customers about the work completed and any future repair requirements.

Qualifications

• 1 to less than 2 years of relevant mechanical experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
