As a financial controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, overseeing accounting activities, and supporting business decisions with relevant financial analyses. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.

On a Daily Basis, You Will Have To

  • Be responsible for the complete management of accounting and the tracking of financial operations for four operating companies.
  • Coordinate and participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements in a multi-company context.
  • Perform, in collaboration with the Finance team, the analysis of accounts, required reports, and financial presentations.
  • Analyze budgetary discrepancies.
  • Support company processes by getting involved and providing relevant and quality information.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the financial accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of data.
  • Implement and evolve the company's standard accounting financial policies and practices.
  • Ensure the respect and improvement of internal controls.
  • Recommend improvements to processes and work methods to enhance the efficiency, relevance, and accuracy of financial information.
  • Collaborate on various special projects of the company.
  • Participate in the annual audit of the company as well as various tax credit requests.
  • Coordinate various government verification requests.
  • Perform any other related tasks requested by your supervisor.
  • Desired Candidate Profile

You are the person we are looking for if you possess

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • A CPA professional title.
  • Excellent knowledge of NCECF.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and in a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong sense of organization, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing, to meet the requirements of the mandate and interact with various stakeholders.
