What will you contribute to the team?

  • Handle customer requests, either by supporting improvement requests or solving mechanical issues in service;
  • Respond to urgent situations of aircraft on the ground (AOG);
  • Question and prepare interior modification drawings, test procedures, and compliance reports;
  • Review engineering designs and actively participate in the development and integration of service solutions;
  • Organize investigations regarding service issues, determine the causes of failures, and find effective and innovative solutions;
  • Use your initiative and judgment to recognize the implications of proposed solutions on other aircraft systems and facilities;
  • Support preliminary service bulletin installations;
  • Coordinate and interface with other departments, service centers, suppliers, and vendors on projects. Support Transport Canada delegates for the approval of these projects.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience;
  • You have five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in aircraft interior engineering, structures, and/or aircraft systems;
  • You should preferably be familiar with Autocad and the MS Office suite, Siemens NX (an asset);
  • You are self-sufficient, capable of working with minimal supervision;
  • You have strong project management skills and an understanding of the impact of deliverables on project timelines;
  • You have a thirst for knowledge, enjoy discovering the "why" and finding solutions to problems;
  • You are capable of quickly absorbing information and, in some cases, are willing to be trained to support various requests;
  • You are open-minded, capable of easily changing direction and pursuing new leads to complete projects;
  • You are a team player, who integrates easily into a group and is ready to help colleagues.
  • You demonstrate an innovative spirit, professionalism, and commitment;
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills in French and English, enabling you to interact with clients, impacted groups, and even handle discussions;
  • You have experience in aircraft certification (DAO, STC, major repair/modification, etc.)
