About this position
Reporting to the Coordinator – Application Development & Support, the Software Analyst is responsible for maintaining and evolving the company's information systems. To do this, their main responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining, and evolving information systems, including ERP, custom applications, dashboards, and other internal solutions, in a primarily .NET / SQL environment;
- Actively participating in structured development activities (sprints), including development, reviews, testing, deployment, and issue resolution, in collaboration with involved departments;
- Working closely with business analysts to understand business needs, processes, and rules, and translating them into appropriate technical solutions;
- Providing application support, analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing permanent fixes or improvements;
- Documenting developments, fixes, and relevant technical elements to ensure sustainability, maintainability, and knowledge sharing;
Qualifications
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in computer science or equivalent;
- Relevant experience of 5 years or more in a similar position and functions;
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented development tools (.NET/C# ideally) and relational SQL databases;
- Good knowledge of a report generator: Crystal Reports and SSRS;
- Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing company. Knowledge of Epicor ERP is an asset;
- Be self-motivated and dynamic;
- Provide excellent customer service;
- Be able to communicate effectively;
- Be able to work well within a team;
- Have a concern for quality while respecting allocated deadlines;
- Functional English (an asset).
