Blasting Loader - Ormaque

With a lifespan of 8 years, the Lamaque mine, located a few minutes from Val-d'Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, has reserves of 1,086,000 ounces and is the ideal location to support its employees in their development.

As a Blasting Loader, you will be responsible for production blasting in the work sites.

Under the supervision of the Mine Supervisor, your essential duties will include:

• Conducting pre-job inspections, including verification, inspection, and scaling of work areas
• Daily verification, inspection, and maintenance of equipment used
• Setting up explosives according to company-established plans, drawings, and procedures
• Performing blasting of advance drives and other blasting configurations
• Installing necessary services for development (water pipelines, compressed air, ventilation ducts, etc.)
• Installing and maintaining the pneumatic blasting system
• Working proactively to propose improvements related to assigned tasks, aiming to optimize safety, quality, and operational efficiency
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
• Applying and respecting all applicable norms, regulations, standards, codes, and laws of Eldorado Gold and Quebec
• Performing any other activities assigned by your supervisors.

Required Profile

• Hold a DEP in mineral extraction or a DEC in mining technology and/or relevant experience judged suitable for the position
• Have 3 years of relevant experience in similar functions in a mechanized context
• Possess FMTM modules 1 to 5 and 7
