Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Senior Project Director is responsible for cost control, schedule adherence, subcontractor tracking, and client negotiations.

He has full responsibility for the success of projects under his supervision, from project configuration during the bidding phase to project delivery and final payment. He ensures strong cohesion and excellent communication among project managers. He maintains business relationships with clients.

Operational Management

  • Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, suppliers, and contractors working under EBC's authority;
  • Conduct project profitability studies, make forecasts, explain discrepancies, and present them;
  • Negotiate subcontract agreements;
  • Manage project schedules, tracking indicators, critical path, and its updates;
  • Supervise shop drawing reviews and technical questions and answers (Q&A);
  • Identify issues that may affect project profitability and/or schedule and apply necessary corrective measures;
  • Ensure on-site presence, note necessary corrections, and discuss them with the superintendent;
  • Implement the LEAN philosophy on our sites;
  • Approve subcontractor and supplier invoices;
  • Manage payment request production and ensure they are transmitted to owners;
  • Supervise deficiency lists;
  • Supervise project closures (provisional acceptance request, end-of-project manual, release of retention, etc.);
  • Meet EBC's quality control requirements and ISO program.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction, or any other combination of equivalent experience and education;
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in projects exceeding 30 million;
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
  • PMP or PA LEED certification (asset);
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project software;
  • Strong communication skills;

Bilingual French - English (asset).
