The mission we propose to you:
As a Technician Designer, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions aimed at improving our equipment, processes, and manufacturing facilities. In collaboration with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will participate in projects from ideation to implementation, leveraging your expertise in design, 3D modeling, and tooling development.
A glimpse into your daily routine:
- Design and model equipment, components, tooling, and manufacturing layouts using CAD software.
- Participate in the development and improvement of technical solutions with engineers.
- Contribute to engineering projects, from design to the implementation of solutions.
- Conduct field surveys to understand operational needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Develop and optimize tooling, fixtures, and equipment, integrating principles of manufacturability, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Keep technical documentation, drawings, models, and nomenclatures up to date.
- Support manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and validation activities.
- Participate in the integration of new design and digitization technologies.
You are the ideal candidate if you possess
- A DEC in mechanical engineering or equivalent training.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in a CAD software (SolidWorks, OnShape, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Experience in 3D modeling and technical drawing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (an asset).
- Functional knowledge of English to consult technical documentation, use specialized tools, and communicate with English-speaking suppliers and contractors.
- Rigor, autonomy, and an excellent team spirit.
- A field-oriented, solution-driven, and continuous improvement approach.
