What will your role entail?
As a Partner Account Manager, you will have an impact by leveraging your technical and sales skills to drive Siemens' growth through the Solutions Partner Network.
Partnership Development
- Cultivate and maintain close relationships with Solutions Partners to foster business development and growth.
- Define and execute partner development plans, including strategy (target markets, product range/use cases, etc.), goal setting, combined goal pursuit with partners, commercial evaluations, and sales measurements.
Sales and Business Development
- Facilitate account development activities in close collaboration with our Account Managers for Vertical Sales and FEO Sales. Actively stimulate cross-selling through partners to gain market share.
Sales Management and Support
- Track and systematically direct sales activities with assigned Solutions Partners.
- Collaborate with partner sales teams to support projects and the overall strategy.
- Support and mentor partner staff to effectively manage sales cycles, win opportunities, and achieve positive results for clients.
Strategy and Planning
- Implement and develop sales strategies for partners. Provide accurate forecasts and planning information through Customer Relationship Management systems.
- Establish and support value selling through partners, including demand creation and partner qualification.
- Regularly compare partner capabilities with market demand and potential to identify expansion opportunities for solutions and territory gaps.
- Identify new Solutions Partners to consider.
Partner Support and Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for partners for commercial questions and foster internal collaboration to ensure partner support.
- Utilize back-office and support functions to effectively serve partners.
Market and Product Knowledge
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Siemens' Automation and Digitalization product range and relevant industry sectors. Ensure partner employees are qualified and competent to promote relevant products and services (through the Partner Academy).
Collaboration and Resource Management
- Cooperate with the Sales Acceleration, Product Management, and Project Management teams regarding product and service positioning. Define and allocate resources to support partner-related initiatives.
Reporting and Accountability
- Ensure regular sales reports are established and sales guidelines and objectives are met.
What will you need to succeed?
- Degree in engineering or equivalent experience in the automation field
- At least 5 years of experience in the industrial automation market in sales, account management, business development, or network management
- At least 5 years of experience in selling Automation and Digitalization solutions on industrial markets
- Strategic sales skills: proven ability to develop and implement complex sales strategies, manage key accounts, and navigate multi-stakeholder environments
- Relationship-building effectiveness: exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build relationships and establish credibility
- Bilingualism (French and English)
- Travel: willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time (or as required) to visit client sites and attend internal meetings
[Salary is based on experience, and total compensation ranges between $157,000.00 CAD and $192,000.00 CAD, including participation in our sales incentive program, conditional on achieving sales targets as defined and periodically updated by the company.]
The successful candidate for this position must be bilingual. Proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written) is required to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the position for the following reasons:
- The position requires interacting with English-speaking clients and suppliers in Canada and/or abroad.
- The position requires regular interaction with Siemens colleagues based outside of Quebec, elsewhere in the country, and abroad.
- The position requires the use of technologies or software that are only available in English.
- The position requires liaison with foreign government and regulatory agencies located in the United States and/or Europe.
- The position requires supervision of employees located outside of Quebec.
